The First International Conference on Human Rights in Southeast Asia will bring together members of the academia, civil society, national and international agencies and the media who work to promote greater understanding and better protection of human rights in the region. It will provide valuable space for dialogue and exchange of knowledge and experience among diverse groups of participants from within and outside Southeast Asia.

Forum on the closure of community radio by virtue of the emergency degree

We are pleased to announce that the forum on the closure of community radio by virtue of the emergency degree will be held on Wednesday 14 July 2010 at Sasa Nives Chulalongkorn University 13.00-16.00 pm.

The forum will be jointly organized by Campaign for Popular Media Reform, The Center for Human Rights Studies and Social Development Mahidol University, The Center for Media Policy Studies, Faculty of Communication Arts Chulalongkorn University, Community Radio and Thai Volunteer Service

The CHRSD is pleased to announce that it has been chosen as the focal point for human rights for the new ASEAN University Network (AUN).

Graduation Requirements

There are a number of steps and procedures which must be undertaken in order to fulfill the requirements for graduation as set by Mahidol University. An overview of the graduation requirements for the International MA in Human Rights and the international PhD in Human Rights and Peace Studies can be downloaded here. Publication

Publication regulations are set by the Faculty of Graduate Studies as part of the requirements for graduation. For detailed information on the specific regulations for each degree type please download the MA Thesis Publishing Guidelines or the PhD Publishing Guidelines

English Requirement

Students who are not native english speakers, and do not have a minimum TOEFL score of 550 or an IELTS of at least 6.0, must pass the English Proficiency Exam offered by the Faculty of Graduate Studies. Please contact the Faculty of Graduate Studies directly to find out when the next exam is being offered and to register.
